FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Regardless of which water you use to make your tea, the following important parameters apply:
1) the best is just fresh from the tap, if possible. Water which has been in the tea kettle overnight or has been boiled more than once is no longer fresh and full of oxygen which contributes significantly to the quality of the flavour of your tea. “Old” water often tastes bland or flat.
2) Good tasting water is fresh, oxygenated, and full of natural minerals. If you live in an area which has “hard” tapwater (especially high mineral or lime content), your tea may have a “furry” taste, and a film may develope on the surface of the tea that can hinder the developing tea flavours. In areas with especially hard water, we recommend using either a water filter or bottled water with a low mineral content.Mineral water is generally unsuitable for making tea, because of its high mineral content. A few mineral waters have a very low mineral content, however, making them okay to use for tea. Such bottled waters are often labelled “low mineral” and/or “light”.
All ME teas are labelled with the optimal water temperature and steeping time. You can, of course, steep your ME teas for more or less time, depending on your tastes. If the tea tastes bitter to you, try steeping your next cup or kettle for a bit less time, or slightly reduce the amount of tea used. To increase flavour, try steeping your tea for a minute or so longer, or simply use a bit more tea.
Our Moringa is grown using the best organic farming methods, without the use of pesticides and herbicides. And plants grown without the use of chemicals are healthier, more potent, and their nutrients (and no toxic chemicals) are absorbed more efficiently by the body.
ME Moringa leaves are gently and carefully harvested and cleaned by hand, so as not to damage the leaves and diminish the nutritional quality. Similar care is used in the drying process which is done at under 40 degrees Celsius leave temperature to ensure the preservation of the natural vitamins, phytocompounds and enzymes (raw food quality). The dried leaves are then finely ground, also at low temperatures.
ME Moringa leaf products are packaged in light, air and moisture impervious, food grade packaging which prevents damage that can be caused by light, air and moisture. At ME, good hygiene throughout the entire production and packaging process is an important cornerstone of our philosophy. ME is certified ISO 22000.
Although all parts of Moringa oleifera, including the roots, wood, bark, leaves and seeds have traditional uses, we use only dried and ground Moringa leaves in our products.
We recommend taking 5 grams daily, either as powder, capsules or tablets. Moringa is known to be more nutritionally effective when taken with meals, either mixed in with your meal (powder) or taken in addition (capsules or tablets).

Nutritionists and natural health professionals are present during the whole product development process, ensuring that our products can be used by everyone, free from side effects and special requirements.
Clinical studies have shown that Moringa consumption can actually increase the volume and quality of mother’s milk produced by lactating women. However, since people react differently to different foods, we recommend you consult your physician regarding the safety of using any of our products during pregnancy and breast-feeding.
Moringa has an abundance of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and amino acids. According to the international organization, Trees for Life, extensive research conducted at the Noguchi Memorial Medical Research Centre in Ghana has found that Moringa leaf powder has no toxic elements and no side effects were observed even in families consuming large quantities of Moringa.
Each person is unique and responds differently to different foods though. Possible temporary side effects can range from mild headache and upset stomach, to mild nausea. This is usually the result of toxins being eliminated from your body as a result of Moringa’s cleansing properties. Such side effects usually disappear after a few days.
